The FOREVER 16 Inch is a bicycle for a child of about 105 to 125 cm, which is roughly four to seven years old. The frame carries the words SINCE 1940, and that is true: Forever has been making bicycles in Shanghai since 1940.

It is built to look old-fashioned on purpose. Mustard yellow and cream paint, a chrome headlamp, a grey saddle on springs. It does not look like a plastic toy, and parents notice that.

FEATURES

Disc Brakes, Front and Rear – Rare at this size. A light pull from a small hand gives a sure stop, in the dry and in the wet.

Retro Chrome Headlamp – A round chrome lamp on the front, fitted from the factory.

16 Inch Wheels – The right size for a child of about 105 to 125 cm.

Removable Training Wheels – Take them off with a spanner when your child finds their balance.

Spring Comfort Saddle – A wide grey saddle on springs. Bumps feel softer.

Full Chain Guard – The chain is covered. Small fingers and trouser legs cannot reach it.

Single Speed – No gears to learn. Your child just pedals. There is almost nothing to service.

Front and Rear Mudguards – Sand and water stay off your child.

Wide Comfort Tyres – Steady on sand, grass and pavement.

Adjustable Saddle Height – Raise the seat as your child grows.
